Purpose
The incumbent will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of customer orders while maintaining product integrity and excellent service standards. During non-driving intervals, the incumbent will perform general warehouse duties, including forklift driving, stock handling, packing, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Code B Driver’s license.
- Valid Public Driver’s permit.
- One (1) year experience as a driver.
- One (1) year experience as a Forklift Driver would serve as an added advantage.
- General electrical knowledge would serve as an added advantage.
Key Result Areas
- Ensure the prompt and secure delivery of customer orders.
- Verify and check all delivery documentation for accuracy before departure.
- Maintain a high level of customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Perform daily vehicle checks.
- Deliver goods in good condition, maintaining a positive image for the business.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and daily reports.
- Load, ofload, and move stock safely within the warehouse with Forklift.
- Adhere to road safety rules and company driving policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle and forklift inspections and report any issues.
- Report returned/broken goods supplied.
- Support maintenance, cleaning, and other operational tasks
- Participate in bi-annual stock takes.
