Forecourt Attendant – ExpressMark Rehoboth  Rehoboth

1. Main Function of the Role

The Forecourt Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling fuel payments, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the forecourt area. The role also requires adherence to health, safety, and security regulations while efficiently performing general duties associated with a fuel station forecourt.

2. Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

  • Customer Service:
    • Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
    • Assist customers with fuel payments and inquiries.
    • Provide information about available products and promotions.
  • Forecourt Maintenance:
    • Ensure the fuel pumps, dispensers, and surrounding areas are kept clean at all times.
    • Conduct routine checks to maintain a neat and orderly appearance of the forecourt.
    • Dispose of waste properly and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Health, Safety, and Security Compliance:
    • Adhere to all company health and safety regulations to prevent workplace accidents.
    • Follow security protocols, including monitoring for potential safety risks.
    • Report any safety or security concerns immediately to the relevant authority.
  • General Duties:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Support colleagues and management in daily operational tasks.
    • Perform additional duties as required by the employer.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Grade 10/12 certificate with at least 23 points.
  • 1-2 years of relevant applied experience in a similar role.
  • Basic computer skills (ability to operate digital payment systems and record transactions).
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
  • Namibian citizenship is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
