1. Main Function of the Role

The primary purpose of the Salesperson: Key Customer position is to ensure excellent service delivery to key customers, assist them in selecting the correct products as per their needs, and maintain ongoing communication to strengthen relationships. The role also involves driving branch sales by providing outstanding customer service and supporting other clients to ensure service excellence.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

  • Key Customer Assistance:
    • Assist key customer clients in identifying and purchasing appropriate products that meet their specific requirements.
    • Maintain consistent communication with key customers to foster strong client relationships.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Deliver exceptional service to all clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
    • Respond proactively to client queries and concerns.
  • Sales Growth:
    • Contribute to branch sales by promoting products effectively and achieving sales targets.
  • Operational Support:
    • Manage tasks under high-pressure situations while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to promote collaboration and success.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Requirements:
    • Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with a minimum of 22 marks.
  • Professional Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in a Sales position within the Building or Retail industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Computer literate with knowledge of the "Kerridge" computer system being advantageous.
