Main Function of the Role The main function of the role is to oversee the full financial management function, including accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes; monitor financial performance and provide timely analysis to support decision-making; ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and all relevant financial regulations; implement and improve internal control systems across all retail operations; support operational teams with financial insights to improve stock management, pricing, margins, and store performance; oversee financial systems and support system enhancements (Sage experience is an advantage); and lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement. 2. Qualifications and Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (required). At least 5 years’ experience as a Financial Manager, preferably in retail or FMCG. Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and taxation (VAT, payroll taxes, corporate tax, etc.). Proficiency in financial systems; Sage experience is an advantage. 4. Skills and Attributes Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
