1. Main Function of the Role

The Storeman is responsible for ensuring that all parts are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched in line with company standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain order accuracy and efficiency in dispatch operations, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

• Order Processing:
  • Pick and pack orders accurately, matching serial numbers and other specifications.
  • Ensure timely and correct dispatch of products to customers and dealerships.
• Inventory Management:
  • Receive parts from vendor deliveries, oversee truck unloading, and check incoming items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Store parts securely to prevent damage and ensure organized bin control and maintenance.
  • Conduct daily perpetual stock counts and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
• Housekeeping:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Namibian citizenship.
• Fluent in English (proficiency in a second language is advantageous).
• 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with a solid understanding of stock control processes.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
