Parts Sales Consultant  Windhoek

1. Job Summary:

Responsible for the sales of spare and replacement parts and equipment in repair shop or parts store.

2. Key performance indicators (Kpis):

  • Working within the sales team on sales of product promotions by answering telephone queries and dealing with electronic queries
  • Fully satisfy customer needs in respect of any part orders, respects or queries they may have
  • Advising customers on suitable parts for their vehicle/problem
  • Taking orders from customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts from stock
  • Raising invoices for parts sold
  • Processing of purchases & invoices from suppliers
  • To maintain a satisfactory parts service to other dealership departments.
  • To sell the maximum amount of parts to trade and retail customers.
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are placed into stock ensuring that any sold are dispatched to the appropriate customer or department
  • Assisting as required with regular stock checks and annual stock audits 
  • Locating and purchasing parts as authorised by the parts manager/supervisor ensuring that the best possible terms of business are obtained
  • Ensuring that all customer invoices are raised in line with customer orders and are forwarded promptly, resolving any queries which may arise
  • Maintaining the parts merchandising display highlighting any current promotions
  • Arranging for parts stock returns, ensuring that appropriate credit documentation is raised and actioned and that stock records are amended
  • Ensuring that any customers complaints are dealt with speedily and effectively
  • Contribute to a positive team performance whilst working on personal benchmarks to optimise personal performance and work on sale product promotions
  • Develop knowledge of products through study of internal literature

6. Skills Requirements

  •  Strong communication skills.  The ability to communicate in a professional manner and managing customer orders is vital to success.
  • Highly developed customer relations skills required
  • Good computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.

 

7. Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience
  • A background in Vehicle parts having worked in a sales focused environment.
