1. Main Function of the Role

The Finance Admin Clerk is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, including cash handling and customer transactions. The role ensures accurate recording, safekeeping, and efficient processing of cash and credit transactions while maintaining excellent customer service. This position also requires basic bookkeeping, filing, and adherence to financial principles and procedures.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

  • Transaction Handling:
    • Act as a cashier for all daily cash and speed point transactions.
    • Issue receipts for all financial transactions.
    • Record, receive, and safeguard cash (including cash-on-delivery sales).
  • Financial Administration:
    • Ensure accurate handling of cash and related financial transactions.
    • Perform basic bookkeeping and banking tasks such as counting, collection, and disbursement of money.
    • Maintain up-to-date filing of invoices and credit notes.
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver efficient, friendly, and polite customer service.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • A Grade 12 certificate is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience with the V10 system will be an added advantage.
