Counter Sales Clerk – Agrimark Tsumeb  Tsumeb

1. Main Function of the Role

The Counter Sales Clerk serves as the primary point of contact for customers at Agrimark Tsumeb, ensuring a professional, efficient, and courteous experience. This role involves handling customer queries, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and secure store environment.

2. Key Performance Areas

Customer Service and Sales:

  • Engage with customers to address inquiries, provide product information, and resolve complaints.
  • Process sales and payments accurately, ensuring all customer transactions are handled efficiently.
  • Manage merchandise exchanges and returns in compliance with store policies.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer experience by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.

Invoice and Credit Management:

  • Ensure accurate handling of invoices and credit notes at the sales counter.
  • Cross-check documentation to prevent errors and discrepancies.

Cash Handling:

  • Perform day-end cash-ups with the Admin Clerk, ensuring accountabilities for all transactions.

Store Maintenance and Housekeeping:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the store and premises.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security regulations.

Security Compliance:

  • Follow all security measures to protect assets, inventory, and cash.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional tasks in line with the duties of the position as required by management.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • A valid Grade 10/12 certificate with at least 23 points.
  • 1–2 years of applied experience in a similar role.
  • Namibian Citizenship is mandatory.
