Required Qualifications:

• National Diploma Veterinary Technology 

• Registration with the SAVC(South African Veterinary Council

Required Experience:

• 1 - 2 years working as a Veterinary Technologist 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Microsoft Packages
• Communication Skills
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Trouble shooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability interpret results

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Performing of ELISA tests
• Performing of rapid serum plate agglutinations (RSPA) when required.
• Performing of quality equipment checks and maintenance when required (e.g. pipettes, balance, temperature, reader, washer, etc.
• Quality checks on kits and reagents after purchase before use in accordance with LPM/PUR/
• Data capturing, compiling and distribution of reports within one week upon receive date of           samples.
• Postmortem sample collection when required.
• Subcontracting of samples
