Hollard is a privately owned insurance group based in South Africa and includes businesses around the globe. It was established in 1980 and has become the largest independent insurance and insurance investment company in South Africa.

Hollard Insurance Botswana has access to all of Hollard South Africa's resources, skills, broker support programmes and training. Hollard Botswana also shares the same innovative Hollard insurance solutions, focus on customers, and product design capacity for both life and general insurance.

Hollard Insurance Botswana shares the Hollard Group's Afrocentric vision and unwavering focus on designing and delivering appropriate and affordable insurance products for Africa’s unique needs. As with all Hollard businesses, Hollard insurance solutions in Botswana are developed with strong local partners who understand the Botswana market.

Hollard Insurance Botswana is entirely Botswana powered and operates under the Botswana legal and regulatory system. Hollard Botswana was established in May 2005 with an initial capital of ten million Pula, with shareholdings earmarked for local management.
