Irrigation Manager

Position Description

The Irrigation Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the irrigation function, including system design, quotation, installations commissioning, supplier relationships, staff supervision and budget control. The successful candidate will need to ensure that irrigation projects are designed and installed to the highest technical standards, delivered on time and within budget, that customers relationships are managed professionally to support repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Relevant qualification in Irrigation, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture
  • Irrigation design certification added advantage.
  • AutoCad certified added advantage.
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in the irrigation industry, including design and installations.
  • Proven experience in supervisory or management role, including budgeting, staff and vendor management.
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure.
  • Proven computer skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Afrikaans.
  • Attention to detail, a reliable and accurate person, able to work independently.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Namibian citizenship.
  • willingness to travel nationallyΒ
