Customer Service Clerk  Pietermaritzburg

Role Purpose:

Epol Pietermaritzburg Mill is currently looking for a Customer Service Clerk to provide customer sales support for external customers and to provide administrative support to the logistics department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain will be an advantage.

Required Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-oriented & logistics environment
  • SAP experience will be an advantange.

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Numeric reasoning
  • Microsoft Packages
  • Communication Skills
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Standby weekends working on holidays.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Support operations and achieving productivity through KPIs by efficient planning of production and delivery.
  • Maintains customer service through demand vs capacity planning.
  • Documents customer complaints and recalls received in line with ISO procedures.
  • Planning delivery programme with the Transporter according to customer delivery schedule.
  • To ensure optimal delivery and pay load.
  • Updating of delivery board to ensure visible scheduling.
  • Capturing relevant information to MTech & SAP
  • Liaise with finance to ensure that customer credit controls have been met before  delivery.
  • Support Logistics Manager with Administration duties.
