Our commitment to optimal animal nutrition has made us the largest feed company in Africa and the leading supplier of innovative, high-performance feed solutions. An exciting opportunity exists for a Production Manager at Meadow Feeds Standerton to join our team.

 The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

  • Plan, coordinate and control daily production in all areas of the manufacturing environment, ensuring targets are met;
  • Ensure optimum plant availability and machine life through effective and timeous equipment
  • Use innovative design ideas to streamline production processes and reduce down time;
  • Manage departmental activities, including information flow, documentation and
  • Optimum utilisation of manpower and equipment in the production department;
  • Ensure the manufacture of feed to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate ideally would meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 and tertiary qualification in support of production management role;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a production environment;
  • NEF feed milling Technology certification would be advantageous;
  • Knowledge of the 20 keys Programme
  • Good planning and reporting skills in terms of plant efficiencies and optimization;
  • Good understanding of the company’s quality systems, risk management and continuous business improvement rules at all times;
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office; valid driver’s licence;
  • Assertive, self – motivated with strong supervisory skills;
  • A high level of personal and professional integrity.
