Optimi is currently recruiting for a highly motivated temporary Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must possess a strong drive for business growth and innovation, be an exceptional self-starter with high energy levels and have good people skills. This role presents an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team in a fast-paced and high-growth environment, reporting to the Senior Financial Controller.
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Sage Evolution or similar ERP.
• Computer literacy.
DUTIES
• Manage the month-end process and cash flow at a divisional level.
• Review journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, etc.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and tax calculations.
• Prepare presentation packs for MANCO and HOD.
• Sign off and approve payments.
• Ensure that all system descriptions are updated and available for review before the commencement of the interim audit.
• Ensure that all year-end reconciliations are available for review within the agreed timelines.
• Overall ownership of the divisional audit process.
• Ensure that all Tax and CIPC submissions are submitted on time and that all expenses are captured and accrued for in the correct period.
• Ensure that all members of the finance team are resourced, skilled and equipped to ensure high quality output.
• Develop and improve working relationships with business unit managers and heads as well as other key members of the finance team.
