Main Function of the Role A Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other industrial equipment to move, load, unload, and stack materials in warehouses, construction sites, factories, or storage facilities. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods, following safety regulations, and maintaining equipment. The Forklift Driver may also assist with general warehouse duties such as inventory control and order picking. 2. Key Performance Areas Daily forklift maintenance Loading and offloading trucks manually and with a forklift Daily housekeeping of the yard Safe stacking of stock Adhere to safety regulations Maintain a good company image by ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through service. 3. Qualifications and Experience Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks Willing to work Retail Hours 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift operator Must be in possession of a valid forklift operating certificate and code B driver’s license Fluent communicator in English 4. Skills and Attributes Responsibility: Self-motivated individual with a strong sense of responsibility. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with forklift safety, operations, and basic maintenance procedures. Punctuality: Consistently punctual and dependable in meeting work schedules. Planning and Observation: Strong planning and observational skills to enhance efficiency and safety. Integrity: Honest, hands-on, and reliable in completing tasks with minimal supervision.
