Job Summary:

The role ensures alignment with Namibian labour legislation and workplace policies, supports Affirmative Action initiatives, and contributes to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment in line with health and safety regulations. you’ll play a central role in maintaining a positive work culture while ensuring compliance and fairness across the board.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide proactive labour relations (LR) guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Ensure adherence to disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Implement, maintain and review workplace policies and procedures.
  • Manage union relationships and facilitate workplace forums.
  • Support the implementation of Affirmative Action (AA) initiatives and compile

           annual reports.

  • Monitor and report on key HR indicators in the IR atmosphere such trends,

           resolutions rates, and turnaround time to resolve cases.

  • Represent the company at conciliation and arbitration hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, including

           Government SHE Regulations.

 

 Educational Background and Experience:

  • Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Labour Relations,

           Industrial Psychology, BCom Law or related field.

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in IR.
  • Strong knowledge of Namibian Labour Legislation and industrial relations processes.

 

We are looking someone with:

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Minute-taking, administrative, and organisational ability.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English, Afrikaans and Oshivambo are advantageous.
  • Motivated, ethical, team player with high emotional intelligence.
