1. Main Function of the Role

The primary responsibility of the Forklift Driver is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of forklifts for loading, offloading, and stacking stock. This role involves routine maintenance of the forklift, adherence to safety regulations, and contributing to customer satisfaction through reliable and professional service delivery.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

• Forklift Maintenance: Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on the forklift to ensure operational safety and reliability.
• Loading and Offloading: Safely and efficiently load and offload trucks using a forklift.
• Stock Management: Ensure the safe stacking and organization of stock in the yard.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to forklift operations and yard management.
• Customer Service: Maintain a professional demeanor to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and uphold the company's reputation.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

Must have completed Grade 11 (NewCurriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks. Willing to work Retail Hours. 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift operator. Must be in possession of a valid forklift operating certificate and code C1 driver’s license. Fluent communicator in English.
