Job Summary: A Shop Assistant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience for all customers. The role includes assisting customers on the shop floor, handling sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and neatly presented. A Shop Assistant also helps with receiving and unpacking stock, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting overall store operations. Key Responsibilities: Day to day cleaning of allocated areas and tiles Assist at the Reception area when needed Receive walk-in clients in a courteous, quick, and polite manner and direct them to appropriate person Dispatch parcels and mail to the other Megabuild business units Ensure tiles and display shelves are clean and attractive Assist with general shop duties as requested Educational Background and Experience: Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks 1 year experience in a retail environment will be advantageous Knowledge on cleaning products and techniques specifically for tiles We are looking for someone with: A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills A strong, fit, and healthy candidate who is not afraid to get their hands dirty A person who is a self-starter and an enthusiastic team player
