1. Main Function of the Role

The Despatch Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the efficient and accurate picking, verification, and loading of stock to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the company's professional image. The role also involves stock monitoring, reporting, and providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.

 

2. Key Performance Areas​

• Locate stock as per picking note and ensure correct products are efficiently loaded to customer and company vehicles.
• Verify product quality and quantity to the invoice.
• Monitor stock levels and report accordingly.
• Maintain a good company image by ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through service excellence

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with at least 22 marks.
• Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Picking/Despatch role, preferably in the building or retail industry.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Computer literacy is essential; knowledge of the "Kerridge" computer system will be an advantage.
  • Fluent communicator in English
