Job Summary:

This role is responsible for the procurement and supply chain activities for the Tools and Machine Tools category. You will be supporting buyers, handling suppliers and pricing, controlling stock, coordinating logistics, and assisting with promotions. It also ensures proper administration, compliance, and documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Train and support buyers, resolve queries
• Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and evaluate performance.
• Monitor inventory, prevent over-ordering, and manage slow-moving stock.
• Conduct price comparisons and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Recommend new products, manage imports, and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate transportation, negotiate rates, and optimize deliveries.
• Assist in planning promotions, supplier negotiations, and product demos.
• Administer all facets of a promotions campaign including route to market
• Maintain supplier records, resolve price issues, and ensure policy compliance.

 

Educational Background and Experience:

• Minimum Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12      (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
• Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be an advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in retail or supply chain management, specifically in Tools and Machine Tools
• Possession of a valid Code B Drivers’ License
