1. Main Function of the Role

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of materials to customers, while maintaining the company’s commitment to exceptional service and adhering to health, safety, and traffic regulations.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

• Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Conduct daily truck maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
• Material Handling:
  • Load materials efficiently and safely for delivery.
• Delivery Operations:
  • Deliver materials to customers on schedule while maintaining professionalism.
• Compliance:
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety, Road Traffic, and Transport Regulations.
• Customer Service:
  • Uphold a positive company image by focusing on Customer Satisfaction through Service Excellence.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
• 2 years’ driving experience with a valid C1 driver’s license.   
• Must be willing to work retail hours

 

4. We are looking someone with:

Excellent driving and time management skills. Good communicator and interpersonal sound skills. Not afraid to get their hands dirty. A self-motivated individual, who is very observant with ethical standards. Someone with knowledge of truck mechanics.
