Role Purpose:

• To control and maintain Engineering stores to optimum efficiency to assist in meeting Maintenance KPI's. Ensure correct procedures are followed to maintain stores activities.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.

 

Required Experience:

• 2- 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy (preferably SAP.
• Preferably Engineering background
• Forklift Driver license would be an advantage
• Knowledge of further processing equipment would be an advantage
• Physically fit and able to work in adverse conditions

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Numeric reasoning
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• SAP knowledge
• Knowledge of engineering parts
• Communication Skills
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Willingness to work over time

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Manage Engineering Stores
• Sourcing of quotations from suppliers
• Verify engineering parts upon delivery.
• Issuing engineering parts
• Reserve and issuing of parts from the requisition booklet.
• Conduct monthly stock take.
• Update and report on stock sheets twice a week
• Ensure availability of critical spares
• Ensure correct stock levels are maintained according to Min and Max stock levels.
• Always ensure good housekeeping.
• Perform cycle counts and quarterly stock counts.
