Warehouse Manager  Windhoek

The position reports to the CEO. The position manages the day-to-day operations and activities in the Warehouse regarding receiving of stock, stock movement, stock rotation, stock storage and stock levels in line with Standing operating Procedures of the Company.  Manage breakages and the loading and dispatching process of stock.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

  • Identify and highlight all possible short, dated stock items in the Warehouse.
  • Manage receiving of all stock & Agency goods.
  • Execute company policies & Procedures regarding handling of stock within identified positive release areas with the handling of agency goods.
  • Manage stock movements within Warehouse Parameters (Slow moving items, DOG Lines and the FIFO principle).
  • Plan and execute the Monthly Stock take as per the company Policy.
  • Manage receiving of all stock.
  • Execute company policies & Procedures regarding handling of stock.
  • Plan and execute the Monthly Stock take as per the company Policy.
  • Optimize stock control & Stock levels of all goods within the Warehouse standards. 
  • Manages Damages and Warehouse Losses, Replenish from Bulk Storage Areas).
  • General Housekeeping of the Warehouse and related areas.
  • Plans and organizes the availability of warehouse staff.
  • Manage equipment and forklifts including pallets.
  • Manage performance of own team.
  • Manage and Execute company Top 50 Controls.
  • Design and implement Standing Operating Procedures.
  • Adhere to Company Policies, Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures always.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Degree in any of the Demand Chain Disciplines or
  • At least 8 years’ experience in the field
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • FMCG experience will be a distinct requirement.
  • Experience in Material Management Systems
  • Be prepared to work odd hours and overtime when required.
  • Be prepared to work shifts when required.
