Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
- Assembly and Disassembly: Building mechanical assemblies based on technical drawings.
- Disassembling machinery for repairs and maintenance.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspecting machines to ensure optimal functioning.
- Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Fabrication and Repairs. Utilizing tools and machines to fabricate parts.
- Undertaking repairs and replacements as necessary.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical Skills: The ability to work with various machinery and tools.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in reading blueprints and executing tasks.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Required for calculating dimensions and measurements accurately.
Formal qualifications typically involve:
- Education: A relevant trade qualification with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Certification: Recognition from professional bodies can enhance employability.
- Must have a code B driver’s license.
It would be expected of the successful candidate to assume duties throughout the Western Cape. The Company offers a competitive and market related remuneration package.
