Investment Intern  Windhoek

1. Main Function of the Role

The Investment Intern will support the Senior Associate – Investments in managing and executing investment mandates, primarily equity investments and, where required, NamPro Fund II. The role focuses on financial analysis, due diligence, research, reporting, and portfolio support to assist in informed investment decision-making and effective portfolio management.

2. Key Performance Areas

Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Assist with fundamental analysis of company financial statements.

  • Support the development and review of financial models, including projections and cash flow analysis.

Due Diligence & Research

  • Assist in conducting financial, commercial, and operational due diligence on potential investments.

  • Gather, interpret, and analyse data from sector, economic, and market-related reports.

  • Support assessments of management teams, competitive positioning, and industry dynamics.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and internal/external reports.

  • Draft and review facility agreements and funding applications for completeness and accuracy.

Portfolio Management Support

  • Support portfolio monitoring activities, including monthly management account analysis.

  • Verify disbursement documentation against approved financial models.

  • Assist with ad hoc tasks related to supporting portfolio companies.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Economics, Financial Mathematics, Investment Management, or a related discipline.

  • Graduates from 2023–2025 or candidates graduating in 2026.

  • Exposure to financial analysis, modelling, or investment-related work (academic or practical) is advantageous.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, particularly in financial modelling.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis.

  • Ability to interpret economic, sector, and market data.

  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly for reports and investment memos.

  • Ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
