Role Overview:

Short-Term Insurance Financial Adviser is an experienced and client-focused professional who specializes in short-term insurance products. They manage an existing portfolio of clients while actively seeking growth opportunities. Their goal is to provide expert advice, exceptional service, and innovative solutions to clients across personal and commercial insurance landscape. Consult’s financial advisers are enabled with several insurance partners ranging from traditional to specialist insurance providers.

Role Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a short-term insurance broker.
  • Existing portfolio of clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet Fit & Proper requirements for advisory roles.

Role Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities for risk assessment.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking.

Role Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand clients’ insurance needs, risk profiles, and financial goals.
  • Regularly review clients’ policies and recommend adjustments as necessary.

Business Development:

  • Identify new business prospects through networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Expand the client base by acquiring new clients.
  • Develop and execute strategies to unlock growth potential.

Value Proposition Creation:

  • Collaborate with insurance providers to create a compelling value proposition.
  • Differentiate the brokerage by offering unique services, competitive pricing, and tailored solutions.
  • Communicate the value proposition effectively to clients.

Compliance and Licensing:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Fit & Proper criteria).
  • Hold valid licenses for license categories 1.2 (personal) and 1.6 (commercial).
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and changes.

Risk Assessment and Coverage Recommendations:

  • Analyse clients’ risk exposures and recommend suitable insurance coverage.
  • Provide expert advice on policy options, terms, and conditions.
  • Negotiate with insurers to secure optimal terms for clients.

Sales and Negotiation:

  • Present insurance proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage enhancements.
  • Close deals and process policy documentation.

Continuous Learning and Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and market dynamics.
  • Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
