Our client in the academic field is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team on a 1 year contract.
Role:
Provide specialist budgeting for local and international Proposals for Funding on various Research Projects
Proposal costing, and post-award cost control for research projects, ensure accurate, compliant, and funder-aligned costing at proposal stage and rigorous budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting during delivery—safeguarding financial sustainability, full cost recovery/overheads, and audit readiness.
Qualification required
BCom or CIMA qualification essential
Experience required:
3 years experience in Costing, Budgeting, Forecasting , preferably within a Higher Education or Funding /Grants environment
Computer literate: Advanced Excel, ERP/Finance: SAP
