Astral, a leading South African integrated poultry producer, has an ICT Technician opportunity available this person will be required to service both our sites based in Fisantekraal and Epping, Cape Town, Western Cape.

 

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Supporting of all desktop, server, printer, and network infrastructure.
• Supporting desktop applications like MS Office 2019, Adobe, etc.
• Supporting of Shop floor equipment and software in the factory such as PDA scanners, Marel scales & Honeywell printers.

 

 The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 Qualification. A+ & N+ will be beneficial.
• Three years’ experience in an IT support environment.
• Experience with Windows 11.
• Application knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to wireless communication and security will be an added advantage.
• Should be able to do standby every fortnight.
• The individual must be able to work under pressure and swiftly resolve queries.
• Basic understanding of the 20 keys concept.
• Have a valid code 8/EB driver’s license as well as reliable transport.
• Must be service orientated, have interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
