1. Main Function of the Role
The Customer Team Member is responsible for providing quality customer service, preparing food products, processing customer transactions, and maintaining operational standards to ensure an excellent customer experience. The role requires adherence to KFC procedures, food safety standards, CHAMPS standards, and company values while supporting effective restaurant operations.

Customer Service
- Deliver friendly, welcoming, and efficient service to all customers.

- Maintain clean, organised, and well-prepared food preparation areas.

Cash Handling and Customer Transactions
- Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer orders, payments, and transactions according to company procedures.
- Handle cash and other payment methods responsibly.
- Ensure accuracy when processing orders and providing change.
- Follow all cash handling and security procedures.
Restaurant Cleanliness and Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness standards in workstations, dining areas, service areas, and restaurant facilities.
- Clean and maintain equipment according to operational and safety standards.
- Follow cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures.
- Ensure the restaurant environment remains safe, clean, and organised.
- Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to management.
Teamwork and Operational Support
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve restaurant operational goals.
- Support different areas of the restaurant as required.
- Assist during busy trading periods by maintaining speed, accuracy, and service quality.

3. Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- Matric Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year applicable work experience.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or quick-service restaurant environments will be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment is preferred.
- Experience handling cash transactions and operating POS systems will be beneficial.
