Role Purpose:

The main purpose of the Collections AgentΒ is to contact debtors in order to collect on outstanding accounts which are in default and arrange payments in a professional and effective manner.

Minimum requirements (Qualifications and Experience):

  • ο»Ώο»ΏGrade 12/Matric.
  • ο»Ώο»Ώ2+ years of work experience in an international call centre campaign.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏWillingness to work night shift.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏGood written and verbal communication (neutral accent).
  • ο»Ώο»ΏKnowledge of the function, process and systems.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏKnowledge of the function and process in a Call Centre Environment.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏProficiency in MS Office (Advantageous).
  • ο»Ώο»ΏExperience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏRelationship Management.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏKnowledge of relevant legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ο»Ώο»ΏArrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on debtors financial situation.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏConfirm right party contact.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏProbe and determine reason for non-payment and update the system accordingly.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏDeploy bespoke retention and development plans for key employees.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏNegotiate payment arrangement with the debtor within set mandates.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏConfirm and/or update debtor's details, banking details, employee information and repayment method and frequency (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
  • ο»Ώο»ΏLoad Promise to Pay (PTP) on system as agreed with debtor.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏEffective collection on active and disconnected accounts.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏEffective collection of active debtors and minimizing the rollover of accounts.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏEnsure client satisfaction by resolving queries quickly, efficiently and in accordance with the relevant procedure.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏComplete daily productivity reports accurately and timeously.
  • ο»ΏEnsure that monthly targets and deadlines are achieved.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏMeet division qualitative standards in terms of inputs and outputs.
  • ο»Ώο»ΏMinimize number of errors on accounts worked.
