Job Summary:

The Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring effective merchandising, inventory control, staff supervision, and exceptional customer service. This role ensures that all departmental activities are carried out in alignment with the Group’s Safety and Health Policy.

 

Key Responsibilities:  Ensure that the department is well prepared and organized in a way that will ensure smooth flow of operations in the paint department. Merchandising happens in a way that will ensure that stock is available for sale General administration Customer service and sales, both instore and telephonically Staff supervision of the department Invoicing, Buying and stock control Service and management of departmental assets Ensure that all health and safety regulations are up to standard    Educational Background & Experience: Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks. 3 years sales experience in Paint / Building supply industry Computer literate – knowledge of the ‘’Kerridge’’ computer system will be an added advantage Must be willing to work retail hours Skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Marketing Communication tools, Social Media Platforms)   We are looking someone with: Excellent organizational skills, such as time and project management and prioritizing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Supervisory skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to research and clearly document information. An eye for detail and the ability to maintain a very high level of accuracy.
