Job Summary:
The Receptionist/Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, answering and redirecting calls, processing payments accurately, and maintaining organised filing of daily documents and PODs. The role includes acting as a Relief Cashier and providing excellent customer service by informing customers about specials, promotions, and relevant information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and direct incoming calls and visitors to the appropriate staff members.
• Distribute internal and external mail efficiently and maintain an accurate mail register.
• Assist with general administrative duties to support smooth office operations.
• Act as a Relief Cashier when required, ensuring smooth and efficient front-end operations. Record and receive payments for goods purchased accurately and timeously.
Educational Background and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12(NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Receptionist/Cashier in computerized retail environment.
- Must be a fluent communicator in English.
- Computer Proficient – knowledge of the “Kerridge” computer system will be an advantage.
