Job Summary:

The Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring that products are displayed in a visually appealing and strategic manner across retail locations to maximize sales. This role involves inventory checks, stock replenishment, promotional setups, and collaboration with store managers and sales teams. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends.

 

Key Responsibilities:  Merchandise products at the correct locations, densities according to forward share Merchandise products by product category and functionality Maximizing shelf space and ensure all products are properly priced New branch or revamp branch – setup branch shelving according to floor plans and planograms Merchandise end gondolas / interruption points / displays / platforms in an attractive and creative way Merchandise promotional stock on End Gondolas, according to promotion catalogue Replenish stock from receiving/stock area to the retail shelves as required

Educational Background and Experience:

Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks. 6 months experience in merchandising or a similar environment Product knowledge, retail industry, and understanding shelf/shop layouts Promotional knowledge and customer needs and wants We are looking someone with: A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
