Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our Branch Support Office in Windhoek. This role reports to the Senior Internal Auditor and focuses on risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and compliance audits across branches and finance departments.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Conduct risk-based internal audits across branches and finance departments.
• Assess and monitor internal controls, financial procedures, and compliance levels.
• Perform fraud investigations and follow-up audits.
• Assist with IT system audits including access control reviews.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Train branch and divisional staff on administrative and system compliance.
• Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for control improvements.
• Ensure adherence to legislation (Companies Act, IFRS, GAAP, Taxation Laws).

 

Educational Background and Experience:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting. B.Com Degree with completed Articles or 2 years Internal Audit experience. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification is an added advantage   We are looking someone with: Strong analytical, numerical, and computer literacy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving, time management, and planning abilities. In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, audit procedures, and risk assessment. Proficiency in MS Office.
