1. Main Function of the Role

The Customer Liaison Officer is responsible for assisting customers and answering calls timeously in a polite and friendly manner, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction through service excellence. The role also involves directing calls and visitors to the appropriate staff members and/or department, maintaining strict controls relating to the branches’ clocking system and employee overtime, and assisting the Administrative Supervisor with administrative duties.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

  • Assist customers and answer calls timeously in a polite and friendly manner, with emphasis on customer satisfaction through service excellence.
  • Ensure calls and visitors are directed to the appropriate staff members and/or department.
  • Maintain strict controls relating to the branches’ clocking system and employee overtime.
  • Assist the Administrative Supervisor with administrative duties.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have completed Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (NSSC-O) with 22 marks.
  • 1 year Switchboard / Helpdesk, Debtors and administration experience.
  • 1 years’ experience in a computerized Retail environment.
  • Clocking system experience will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the “Kerridge” computer system will be an added advantage.
