Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and solutions-driven Checker. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all incoming and outgoing goods are accurately checked, verified, and documented in accordance with company procedures. The Checker plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimising stock losses, and supporting smooth and efficient warehouse operations. This position requires a detail-oriented, reliable, and vigilant individual who can work well under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy at all times.
Requirements
- Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (Checker/Picker role).
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of electrical/technical products would serve as an added advantage.
Key Result Areas
- Check and sign for accuracy of stock according to invoice.
- Report discrepancies or damages to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with cycle counts as assigned by the supervisor or management.
- In our fast-paced environment, the candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter, being able to work in a team and individually with the right integrity.
- Ensure correct stock is loaded for customer.
- Assist customers with loading of stock.
- Assist customer with any other queries regarding collection of stock.
- Assist with cycle counts
- Participate in regular stock takes.
Personal
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a MUST.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible and energetic.
