Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting clients in identifying and selecting suitable products, offering, expert guidance, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. This role contributes to the achievement of sales targets by maintaining an in-depth understanding of product offerings. Through proactive customer engagement and effective sales support, the Sales Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business growth at Pupkewitz Megatech.

Requirements

  • Completed NSSCO/NSSCAS or Grade 12.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Basic Electrical knowledge will serve as an added advantage.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent computer literacy capabilities & Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Multilingual will serve as an added advantage.
  • Valid Code B Driver's Licence.

Key Result Areas

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer support.
  • Assist customers on the retail floor by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products.
  • Supporting Sales Consultants effectively.
  • Providing customers with information on pricing and product availability.
  • Promote special offers, promotions, and new product launches to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Ensure stock is well-displayed, labelled correctly, and maintained in an orderly manner on the retail floor.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Handle customer inquiries.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report low-stock items, and assist in stock replenishment.
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide the best service possible.
  • Assist with daily cycle counts and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Participate in annual stock takes.
