1. Main Function of the Role

To perform high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while meeting productivity targets and ensuring customer satisfaction in line with Toyota and Pupkewitz Motors standards.

2. Key Performance Areas

Perform minor and major vehicle services and repairs.
Diagnose faults, carry out fault-finding, and ensure correct parts are ordered and fitted.
Complete job cards accurately and report on work performed.
Meet production and efficiency targets set by the workshop.
Provide regular updates on work-in-progress to the team foreman.
Participate in after-hours standby duties when required.
Assist with training and mentoring of trainees/apprentices.

3. Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 with a qualification in Automotive Mechanics.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a motor mechanic.
Valid driver’s licence.
Diagnostic or Auto Electrical experience will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy (MS Office).

4. Skills and Attributes

Strong analytical and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work under pressure and cope with setbacks.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Results-driven with a strong customer service focus.
Well-organised with good planning abilities.
Adheres to company values, principles, and vision.
