Required Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12) - essential
• Preferably studying towards or holding a tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
•  N2 qualification (advantageous).
• Fitting trade test or Fitting & Turning Trade Test (advantageous)
• Minimum of  months relevant experience in a technical or engineering environment.

Required Experience:

• Assist artisans with mechanical maintenance and repair tasks.
• Support engineering teams in completing projects
• Complete daily task at a reasonable pace and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision of Artisan.
• Good housekeeping and familiar with health & safety and hygiene.
• Administration of OHS Act requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all ISO 9001 and 22000 standards and procedures.
• Participate actively in a high-performance team.
• Clean and maintain machinery and equipment.

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Basic Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
• Good understanding of machinery and tools
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as per operational requirements
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
