Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Architectural Technologist at Townscape Designs (Pty) Ltd, based in the Durban Metropolitan Area. The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for producing architectural, technical, working, and construction drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with architects and construction teams, preparing detailed drawings and designs, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and regulations, and providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires travel to site to attend inspections, conduct photographic recording, and carry out measure-ups of existing buildings and as-built facilities.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Proficiency in Architectural Technology and Technical Drawing.

• Experience in creating working drawings and architectural drawings.

• Sound knowledge of construction drawings and detailing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.

• Relevant work experience in the architecture or construction industry is advantageous.

• 3–5 years’ experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, and rendering software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW is an advantage.
