Role Purpose: To ensure efficient maintenance of equipment after cleanout. Required Qualifications: Minimum of NTC 2 (trades related), 60 Electrical & 40% Mechanical Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-trade experience working in a production line or FMCG maintenance experience PLC/VSD Drives experience will be an advantage Required Knowledge and Skills: Equipment maintenance Maintains equipments after clean out to ensure that equiments's runs efficiently during production. Conduct safety inspection.Research and development – upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost. PMS (Planned Maintenance Systems). Analyses machines to determine what spares need to be used. Removes old equipment from site during cleanout maintenance to refurbish old and worn parts Preventative maintenance Identifies machines at risk during cleanout and repairs equipment to prevent breakdowns during production cycle Service and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. Preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment. Breakdowns Assist the breakdown team in reparing and fixing breakdowns Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Administration Plots graphs of equipment on site per cycle to compare trends of equipment inefficiences and weaknesses. Records costs of spares to track expenditure in order to contain costs Completes Stores requisitions in order to draw spares on a weekly basis Conduct projects. Supervision of Staff Coordinates and allocates jobs to handyman Assesses Handyman’s quality of work Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby if required Strong Electrical understanding within a Plant Environment (70% Electrical/30% Mechanical)
