Main Function of the Role

The Technician is responsible for performing vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs according to manufacturer and company standards. The role ensures quality work, timely job completion, and accurate reporting. A key responsibility is to uphold workshop targets, safety standards, and contribute to training junior staff, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Β Key Performance Areas

  • Perform minor and major mechanical repairs and services.
  • Ensure job cards are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Diagnose faults and report on necessary parts or repairs.
  • Communicate progress effectively to the Workshop Foreman.
  • Achieve workshop production targets and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Participate in standby and emergency duties as assigned.
  • Assist in managing work-in-progress (WIP) vehicles and ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Support the training and mentorship of technician trainees.

Β Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric Certificate).
  • Qualified Technician (Level 3 certification).
  • 3–5 years of proven experience as a qualified Technician.
  • Namibian citizenship.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and servicing.
  • Experience with V10 or other dealership management systems is an advantage.
