Main Function of the Role

A Quality Controller is responsible for implementing ,monitoring and maintaining quality and food management systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2016,FSSC 22000,regulatory requirements ,and company standards while supporting continuous improvement and product quality.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

Quality Management Systems 

  • Implement ,maintain and monitor IS0 9001 :2015 and FSSC 22000 systems .
  • Ensure all quality documentation,records and checklists are accurately maintained.
  • Support compliance with customer ,regulatory and company requirements .

Product Quality Control

  • Conduct product quality inspections in the Conversion,printing and Extrusion departments .
  • Monitor product quality standards and identify non -conformances 
  • Assist in investigating and resolving quality - related issues .

Food Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety management requirements .
  • Support audits and inspections related to food safety and quality systems.
  • Promote adherence to food safety procedures throughout the organization.

Health and Safety Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and procedures .
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and compliant working environment .
  • Assist with monitoring workplace risks and corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement 

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
  • Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a production quality environment .
  • Experience with quality management systems and quality inspections.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Food Safety Management Systems (FSSC 22000) will be advantageous .
