Role Responsibilities

  •  Evaluates and assesses credit loan applications by checking feasibility and financial viability of business proposals including the identification and evaluation of:
  1.  organizational and managerial inputs and expertise,
  2. financial implications and returns,
  3. market factors, competition and market penetration,
  4. Securities offered and available.
  • Prepare reports that include the degree of credit risk involved in extending credit and portfolio trend analysis.
  • Recommend Approval or Rejection of credit applications to higher level.
  • Assist in the review and development of credit policies and guidelines.
  • Contact clients where clarification is required on proposal. This may take written or telephone contact.
  • Maintain conformance with CEDA Guidelines, Credit Policy and procedures across the Agency.
  • Analyse and test compliance to; conditions of sanction to maintain the quality of the credit risk profile of the CEDA portfolio.
  • Adhere to all service level agreements.

Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Banking/Economics/ or equivalent financial qualification.

Experience

  • At least four (4) years post qualification experience in a related field preferably in a financial institution. Experience in development finance will be an added advantage.
