Job Summary: We’re seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to manage daily reconciliations, journal postings, and monthly financial reporting. The role includes investigating and resolving reconciliation items, calculating and invoicing monthly rebates, and ensuring accurate month-end closings. You’ll also supervise staff and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: Effective daily reconciliation of bank and General Ledger accounts Posting of journal entries Investigate and resolve reconciliation items Monthly rebate calculation, invoicing and follow up thereof Monthly financial closing process and reporting Effective staff supervision Educational Background and Experience: Must have Grade 12 with a degree in Accounting or any related field Should have 3-5 years' relevant experience Experience in the Retail, Construction or FMCG environment will be advantageous. Knowledge of Accounting Application in Kerridge will be an added advantage We are looking someone with: Ability to prepare, understand and interpret General Ledger and bank reconciliations. Ability to resolve reconciling items Computer Literate with strong focus on MS Office applications Excellent communication, numerical, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills
