1. Main Function of the Role

A Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth within assigned market segments by promoting and selling the company's products, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, introducing new products, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role also involves managing customer accounts, addressing quality concerns, and supporting business growth through regular customer engagement and market development.

2. Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

Sales and Business Development

  • Promote and sell company products within assigned market segments.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to branch growth objectives.
  • Introduce and market new products based on customer requirements.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Conduct customer visits according to pre-set call cycles.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
  • Provide product information, advice, and support to customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Product Promotion and Market Development

  • Present and market the full range of company products.
  • Monitor customer needs and market trends.
  • Recommend suitable products and packaging solutions.
  • Support initiatives to expand market share and customer reach.

Customer Service and Complaint Resolution

  • Respond promptly to customer queries and concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and quality alerts.
  • Ensure customer issues are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through effective problem-solving.

Stock and Agreement Management

  • Ensure stock holding agreements are managed according to agreed terms.
  • Monitor stock requirements and customer stock levels where applicable.
  • Support effective stock management practices to meet customer needs.

Compliance and Administration

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
  • Submit reports and sales information as required.
  • Operate within approved company guidelines and procedures.

3. Qualifications and Experience

  • Namibian citizenship is required.
  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in FMCG or wholesale markets will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Code B driver's licence.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
