Purpose of the role

To provide support on general production requirements to ensure effective running of the Mill.

Education and Qualification

Grade 12

Knowledge and skills

Basic numeracy
Knowledge of production processes
Knowledge of health and safety rules

Main Responsibilities

To ensure all required resources are available in line with production requirements.
To report all mechanical/electrical issues to the control room / supervisor that may affect the smooth running of the plant.
Accurately record any data required for production analysis e.g. tipping logs.
To respond to manual production bottlenecks e.g. clearing chocked elevators.
Conduct visual checks e.g. availability of raw materials and report any deviation to the control room / supervisor.
To perform daily stock take duties.
Good housekeeping and ad hoc duties including general filing and data recording.
