Role Purpose:

Forming part of the Maintenance team, the role is responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment to limit downtime and ensure efficient production.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Recognised Trade Test certification as Mechanical Fitter

 

Required Experience:

• 5-years relevant experience post trade experience in a similar industry is essential
• Basic workshop equipment experience in terms of lathes, milling machines, arc, gas welding and gas cutting equipment, is essential.
• Experience with Feed mill production machines will be advantageous.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure mechanical adjustments and repairs are completed via regular inspections to limit machinery downtime.
• Sourcing of spares and costing for planned maintenance and repairs or modifications to achieve cost efficiency and shortest turn around time.
• Planned maintenance is completed as per scheduled Job Cards.
• Optimization and fault-finding on Mechanical equipment to improve efficiency.
• Adherence to all relevant legislative requirements e.g., OHS Act requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all ISO 9001 and 22000 standards and procedures.
