Purpose
Pupkewitz Megatech is seeking a high-calibre Branch Manager to take full ownership of branch performance across operations, sales, people, and profitability. This is a leadership role for a commercially astute, hands-on manager who thrives in a fast-paced electrical and technical retail environment and who lives our Purpose, Vision, and Code of Honor every day.
The successful candidate will be accountable for profitable growth, operational excellence, exceptional customer experience, disciplined inventory control, and the development of high-performing teams β while collaborating closely within Megatechβs matrix structure and centres of excellence.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business Management, or Marketing (preferred).
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience managing people, inventory, and logistics in a retail, wholesale, or technical environment.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/business management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in the electrical, solar, or low-voltage environment is a strong advantage.
- Multilingual would serve as an added advantage.
Key Result Areas
- Drive sales growth, margins, and overall branch profitability across retail, contractor, industrial, and wholesale segments.
- Act as custodian of the customer experience, managing escalations professionally and protecting the Megatech brand.
- Ensure disciplined inventory control, including stock accuracy, replenishment, shrinkage management, and loss prevention.
- Oversee operational excellence across retail floor, warehouse, receiving, dispatch, and point-of-sale processes.
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff; set KPIs, manage performance, and drive training and development initiatives.
- Manage branch P&L, cash handling, expense control, and safeguarding of company assets.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, governance requirements, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Execute national and local marketing initiatives and actively support procurement activities to ensure optimal stock availability and competitiveness.
