Role Purpose:
- .To ensure continuous Feed Mill operation through the manufacturing, maintaining and installing all structural equipment within the Mill. This would include but not limited to piping, conveyors, elevators, chutes, steam lines, boilers (Coal and Oil), vessels, tanks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completed Trade Test as Boilermaker
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience, with preference for Mechanical and Pneumatic experience
Main Responsibilities:
• Utilize the skill matrix to assess the applicability of assignments based on individual skill sets.
• Plan and manage all planned maintenance, preventative schedules, work requests and break downs.
• Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used and ensure that these are ordered and available at the work site.
• Help plan and manage Boiler Making related tasks and projects.
• Reading blueprints for locations, position and dimensions.
• Organizing and assembling boiler parts.
• Shaping and fabricating parts.
• Inspection of equipment for proper function.
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment.
• Completing Maintenance documentation.
• Use planned maintenance schedules to coordinate daily activities of machine minders and implement operational asset productivity and care through the planned maintenance strategy by noting and driving the resolution of maintenance issues with the machine minding team.
• Monitor, measure and report on engineering related down-time and general issues.
• Fault find on boiler making equipment to ascertain and repair faults to ensure production can continue.
• Attend to and resource boiler making breakdowns timeously to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct planned maintenance as per the job card schedule and sign off job once fully completed.
• Send job cards to the Operational Manager for record purposes.
• General maintenance off all water reservoirs, supply lines, boreholes, buildings fences and vegetation on the property and company assets.
• Overseeing the fire prevention plan to minimize damage to the property by proper firebreaks and grass cutting.
• Assist with any other Production related issues if and when needed.
